South Village Community

What makes a house a home? It’s the same thing that makes a town a community: people connecting to place.

South Village was designed from the ground up to cultivate connection. It is Vermont’s first Traditional Neighborhood Development, one of more than 300 across the country. These pedestrian-friendly communities feature homes that are in close proximity and are linked with narrow streets and wide sidewalks. There are front porches, trees and gardens. And, in the case of South Village, there are many other shared amenities that invite connection, including an organic farm, community gardens, chickens and bees, trails for walking and skiing, and open space for wildlife.
